To transfer multiple files, and for all files
created on the Macintosh platform, you must first compress your files into
a single archive. If you use a .zip compression tool, please do not create
a self-extracting .exe archive; a regular .zip is smaller and will not
compromise anti-virus security. For links to compression tools for both
platforms, visit our Online Tools page.
Here is a set of instructions to follow when uploading to your files to our site using Windows:
9. Drag the file from your folder into the window displaying the ftp destination folder. Alternately, you may right click on your file, select "copy", then right click on the ftp folder and select "paste". This will copy your file into the folder on our site. You may select multiple files using either procedure these will upload in sequence. Unless the file is very small a status box appears that tracks the time remaining for your upload to complete. This will be a period ranging from a few seconds to possibly several minutes depending on the size of the file and your connection speed. When the upload completes, the time remaining box simply disappears, there is no "File Done" confirmation. You will see the new file in the ftp folder. 10. Please remember that you have the ability to modify and delete any files you have loaded to your folder. If you are about to overwrite an existing file, a dialog box will appear asking if you are sure you want to do this. Be sure you mean yes, before you click "Yes". If you upload a file that has the same name as a file already appearing in your ftp folder, the incoming file will promptly and completely overwrite the residing file. It does not matter if the incoming file is older, larger or smaller. The existing file will be wiped away. 11. You may now close the ftp folder window. 12. You have now setup a connection to the ftp folder on our server. For future transfer of files, all you need to do is to click the icon for this connection and the "Login As" box will appear if you have not elected to save your password. If you have chosen to save your password, you will be automatically connected to your folder.
